Our wild blueberry powder is made from 100% wild blueberries (Vaccinium angustifolium) harvested in Nova Scotia — one of the world's premier blueberry-growing regions. Wild blueberries are smaller, more intensely flavoured, and more nutrient-dense than cultivated highbush blueberries. These native lowbush plants thrive in the acidic soils and cool Atlantic climate of Nova Scotia. Unlike highbush varieties, they are not planted — they spread naturally through underground runners across managed fields that are carefully maintained and mechanically harvested on a two-year cycle.

Each 150 g pouch contains pure, finely ground wild blueberries — no fillers, no carriers like maltodextrin, and no added sugars. The deep, vibrant purple colour is a direct indicator of the high anthocyanin content preserved through our advanced drying process.

What Makes REVdry Different?

Unlike conventional air-drying or even freeze-drying, REVdry (Radiant Energy Vacuum) technology dries fruit at low temperatures under vacuum. This process preserves significantly more of the natural colour, aroma, flavour, and nutritional profile compared to heat-based methods. The result is a powder that looks and tastes remarkably close to fresh wild blueberries.

A quick note on quality: genuine whole-fruit blueberry powder does not dissolve in water. If a blueberry powder dissolves easily, it likely contains juice concentrate or carriers like maltodextrin. Our powder is pure ground whole fruit — it blends beautifully into smoothies, yogourt, and baking, but it won't dissolve when stirred into a glass of water.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between wild and cultivated blueberry powder?

Wild blueberries (Vaccinium angustifolium) are native lowbush plants that grow naturally in Atlantic Canada. They're smaller, more intensely flavoured, and contain significantly more anthocyanins than cultivated highbush blueberries. Our powder is made exclusively from wild Nova Scotia blueberries.

Why doesn't this blueberry powder dissolve in water?

Because it's made from whole wild blueberries — skin, pulp, seeds, and all. Genuine whole-fruit powder won't dissolve in water. If a blueberry powder dissolves easily, it likely contains juice concentrate or carriers like maltodextrin. Our powder blends beautifully into smoothies and baking.

How much wild blueberry powder should I use per day?

We recommend 1 tablespoon (10 g) per day. Each 150 g pouch contains approximately 15 servings at this rate.

Is this wild blueberry powder from Canada?

Yes — our wild blueberries are harvested in Nova Scotia, Atlantic Canada. The powder is produced in Canada using REVdry technology. This is a 100% Canadian product.

Can I use this powder for baking?

It works very well in baking — muffins, pancakes, scones, energy balls. It adds a concentrated wild blueberry flavour and vivid purple colour. Start with 1–2 tbsp per recipe and adjust to taste.
